The Ride Inside...

This might seem odd to some and make perfect sense to others. For all the people interested in more sustainable ways to ride waves.

chickadee-beat

a friend wanted this for a tattoo. not sure how doable it is, but i guess that's the tattooists problem.

for a group show...

in Sydney titled From a Dark Place. it was a fundraiser for NSW Rape Relief. i wish i could have seen the show in person, but i bet there was some amazing stuff.

iexist...

this might end up as a shirt or record for iexist, the latest in a long list of hits from Slick Murph.

coke bust...

well, not the band, but a band from Indonesia that have taken their name from Coke Bust's raging 7". Fukk Bar Culture play some ripping fastcore like DS-13, ETA and Spazz. this will be a tape cover and a shirt. i'm pretty happy with how this one turned out.

liberty rollins...

this is the best idea i've ever been given, it was a real buzz to turn the idea into a drawing. it's going to be the cover of a new zine by an old favourite zine editor.punk for the thinking man.

better than a punch in the face...

this is the test pressing cover for the new Eye Gouge 7". Eye Gouge are from Canberra, play ripping hardcore in the vein of some of your 80's favourites and are probably the most honest band in Australia in terms of not being circus performers for the party crowd. here is the colour and black and white versions, i think it's the black and white that is getting printed.

inspired by a Russian Folk Tale...

some more school stuff...

the idea with this one was that we were given a nonsensical phrase and had to interpret that through illustration.pencil on paper.

Three-point perspective cityscape. the first is the black and white line work done with Microns, the second has had tone added with Copic Markers

and some things from school...

this one was also a school assignment: we were given a word and had to illustrate it using images to make up the word. the word is struggle, in case i failed terribly. micron pen on watercolour paper.

this was an assignment for school: choose an occupation and illustrate a face using the tools of the trade. the occupation is forest conservationist...or tree hugger. hippies not hipsters. coloured pencil on chocolate brown card.

weird brain stuff...

both of these are a little older, maybe a year and half old, but i finally got access to an A3 scanner so i digitised them both. watercolour pencil and micron pen on card...

Charlie Don't Surf...

he would have ridden a bodyboard. this was going to be a wraparound cover for a zine, but the zine went bust. still one of my favourites for this year, and an amazing idea by the zine's editor.

i made this for my friend Dannii, on some nice old paper that i was given that was really really hard to draw on. it's a bit messy as a result, but has some of our favourite things in there.

some terrible photos...

of average drawings. a couple of months ago i put some stuff in the Bare Your Teeth punk art show in Melbourne. here are some photos of the 5 pieces i submitted. unfortunately i couldn't make it to Melbourne to see the show, but from all reports it was amazing and there was a lot of great art made by punks on display. hopefully it happens again next year, and i can make it in person, and pen, next year. these are all available for trade, so if you make art or have any old Australian records, demos or shirts and want to trade them for my scribbles, get in touch.

a new blog for the apocalypse...

so here's a new blog. the other one got left by the wayside as i struggled with trying to build a real website. in the end, the technology got the best of me, and i just gave up on both. i will try to update this one with new drawings, etc, as they happen. no guarantees.

to start it off, here's some drawings. some new, some not so new. if something doesn't have a band name attached to it, it's up for grabs...

for the Gold Coast nu-Tragedy/Cursed band, Life Act. wwwmyspace.com/lifeact

the idea here was to squeeze a face into an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper.

an older piece for Spitting Napalm tapes...

a black and white version of this was used on the back cover of Last Breath zine....

this was in I Want Your Skull zine #5, a rad art zine and website that focuses on skull and skeletal art. www.iwantyourskull.com
